Big Bear Lake, CA, October 30, 2013 – As of yesterday, Bear Valley Community Hospital’s entry into the Medline Pink Gloves Dance Video competition was in 7th place. That brings them close to winning a substantial sum for the Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley Mammogram Program: the winnings are $5,000 for third place, $10,000 for second place and $25,000 for first place. Raising the stakes even higher, an anonymous donor has pledged to match any cash prize. This is the third annual competition sponsored by Medline to promote breast cancer awareness and prevention. This year, 80,000 people were featured in 110 video entries, which represent the majority of U.S. states plus Panama.
Our hospital’s entry features KBHR announcer Steve Cassling and local healthcare workers. The more votes the video gets, the higher its ranking, and one vote can be made each day from each email address through November 8 at midnight.
