Big Bear, CA, March 26th, 2016 – The nonprofit Southern California Mountains Foundation is pleased to announce new co-producer, Stone Entertainment Group, for its Music in the Mountains outdoor summer concert series staged at the Big Bear Discovery Center Amphitheater. The partnership is designed to bring additional resources to the concert series, help grow the fundraising program, and upgrade visitor services.
“We welcome and we’re excited to be collaborating with Dave Stone and his team on our upcoming season,” shared Kathy Clapsaddle, event producer, Southern California Mountains Foundation. “Stone Entertainment Group is a natural fit to co-produce the series with us and build on the strong program created over a decade ago to deliver more music, value, and fun for our loyal and new guests. We officially launch on April 1!”
Music in the Mountains will continue to serve as the nonprofit’s largest fundraising program led by over 40 Discovery Center volunteers to help raise funds for year-round programming at the Center and youth education; in particular, after school nature clubs at two Bear Valley schools. Big Bear Vacations will return to the 2016 season as presenting sponsor for year three along with the support of local community businesses, other nonprofits, and volunteers.

The 2016 season will feature an expanded schedule of 6 shows with new national bands and returning favorites, upgraded concessions and services including local tastes and flavors of Big Bear made popular through Stone Enterprises. The season will launch on April 1 through a planned campaign including web site and social media promotion.
