Blasting Near Dam Rescheduled for Wednesday; Delays on Big Bear Boulevard

Blasting at the Big Bear bridge project, at Big Bear Lake’s west end on Highway 18, was scheduled to take place this afternoon (September 15), though CalTrans has rescheduled that blasting and it will instead take place tomorrow, Wednesday, from 1 to 3pm. This is a tentative schedule, as of this morning, but if planning to take Highway 18 down the front way tomorrow, anticipate additional delays between the hours of 1 and 3pm. Also, in terms of road delays, roadwork is taking place on Big Bear Boulevard within Big Bear Lake this morning. The west-bound lane on the Boulevard has been coned off, so plan for a little extra time if headed west on the Boulevard this morning.
