Lake Williams, CA — Bear Valley Electric crews were quick to respond to yesterday’s power outage in Lake Williams, which was prompted by a dumptruck carrying large boulders snagging an electrical line and pulling down a power pole off Forest Service road 2N12, just south of Erwin Lake. The outage occurred just before 4pm and, at that time, Bear Valley Electric’s Operations Supervisor John Dykesten told KBHR that estimated repair time would be five hours. In an update this morning, Dykesten says that power was restored to the Lake Williams area by 7:30pm on May 25 rather than the initial estimate of 9pm. “The guys finished ahead of schedule,” he says, “ and replaced the pole.”
