Big Bear, CA, November 24, 2016 – Both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit have been blowing snow for more than a week now and Big Bear Mountain Resorts have announced that Bear Mountain will open Friday at 8:30 am with top to bottom runs on chairs 9 and 7. Hours through the weekend will be 8:30 – 4. The opening date for Summit will be announced very soon.
Besides world class skiing and snowboarding at both mountains, there’s also great food and family fun to be had in a scenic, alpine setting. New at Snow Summit this season is the SoCal Marketplace where you can get authentic street tacos, rice bowls, and a self-serve salad bar. For traditional, smoked BBQ, try the Bighorn Smokehouse in the meadow area below Chair 1. If you want to take a break from skiing, check out the Grizzly Ridge Tubing Park or Snow Summit’s new 30′ rock climbing wall. Now you can ski, ride, and climb all in one day.
