Big Bear Mountain Resorts will have a full slate of recreational activities available this weekend and, in exciting news for skiers and snowboarders, Bear Mountain will be open as of tomorrow morning! Given this week’s cooler temps and the opportunity to blow snow, Bear Mountain Resort will open chair 5 and Central Park, which will have a half-dozen features ready for riders, at 9:30am on Friday, October 30. The mountain will be open until 4pm on Friday; equipment rental and food services will be available, and the Ice Box (for apparel and accessories) will also be open. The resort will also be open for skiing and riding on both Saturday and Sunday, though operating times have not yet been determined. Opening season ticket prices at Bear Mountain are just $25 for adults, $20 for young adults (ages 13-21), and $10 for children. In addition to the opportunity to take to the slopes, Big Bear Mountain Resorts will also have the nine-hole golf course open through Sunday, November 1, and mountain bikers can still enjoy the Sky Chair at Snow Summit this weekend. Summit’s Sky Chair will be available for mountain biking and round-trip rides (no hiking), from 9am to 5pm Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday.
