Big Bear, CA, March 6th, 2016 – The search for a new Chief Executive officer has led Quorum Health Resources to two vetted candidates, who have been interviewed by members of the Bear Valley Community Healthcare District board to fill the CEO post.
Board President Donna Nicely presided over the interviews. The new CEO will be an employee of QHR rather than the district, according to materials provided by the healthcare organization.
The packet of information provided to each candidate includes materials related to the district’s recent alliance with Loma Linda University Health.
Under the affiliation agreement, the university provides resources to district-
run Bear Valley Community Hospital, to enhance medical and hospital services to the Bear Valley community.
Additionally, onsite specialty care in selected service areas will be developed, where feasible, at Bear Valley Community Hospital and the Bear Valley Community Hospital Rural Health Clinic.
The affiliation also provides for a streamlined system for patient referrals for those in need of specialty care not available at Bear Valley Community Hospital, such as oncology, cardiology, endocrinology, and neurosurgical services.
