Big Bear, CA, December 30, 2015 – The Big Bear Valley has many things to offer locals and visitors alike on New Year’s Eve 2015. One annual tradition not to be missed is Snow Summit’s New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade. You can watch as skiers and snowboarders descend the dark slopes of Snow Summit lit only by the torches they carry. It’s a great way to kick off your New Year’s celebrations. Following the Parade there will be two fantastic parties at Summit. Hawks ’52 will have a live acoustic act and Slopeside Speakeasy will have DJ Slipmatt spinning in the New Year.
Wyatt’s Saloon at the Big Bear Lake Convention Center will be hosting Big Bear’s only family-friendly New Year’s celebration with live music from the Doo Wah Riders along with DJ Joe Vonesh spinning your favorite tunes. Wyatt’s will be serving up great ranch-style grub, and lots of good company. There will be children’s activities including a bounce house, arts & crafts, games and more. Enjoy complimentary Champagne at midnight and complimentary Shuttle Rides Home!
Nottingham’s Tavern will take you back to the 1920’s with their Theme Mystery Night (1920’s attire encouraged, but not required) and their New Year’s Eve Party will have live music by Izon Eden. Party favors and champagne toast at midnight for those over 21! They always sell out, so pre-purchase your tickets at Robinhood Resort or Nottinghams Restaurant. For dinner, you can enjoy a special New Year’s Eve menu!
And lastly, you can join The Pines Lakefront for their 2nd “Times Square at Big Bear”. Last year was a sellout and fun was had by all! Party favors, hats, entertainment and a Champagne Toast at 9 pm. You can watch the ball drop in Times Square and celebrate with a 5 course dinner with entertainment provided by Mike Cross on piano and Mark Cade on bass. By celebrating on ‘East Coast Time’, it leaves you plenty of time to party at home or other locations.
