Big Bear Lake, CA, April 16, 2014 – San Bernardino County is creating a plan for renewable energy and is looking for public input; the first round of public workshops is this month.
Supervisor James Ramos, who is presenting a solar expo for homeowners in Joshua Tree this month, says, “Community participation is key to the success of developing a renewable energy component for the County that makes sense for our communities.”
The San Bernardino County Partnership for Renewable Energy and Conservation will provide a framework for renewable energy development while protecting communities and natural resources. Community input will help shape the drafting of a County General Plan Renewable Energy Element for consideration by the Board of Supervisors.
Those who want to give input will have their chance tonight; a public workshop is scheduled for tonight from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Big Bear Municipal Water District (40524 Lakeview Drive).
