Big Bear City, CA, August 14, 2014 – On August 2nd, the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station opened an investigation regarding unlawful sexual relations between a 45 year old male, identified as James Passmore of Big Bear City, and a 16 year old female juvenile.
Shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 12, deputies went to a residence in the 700 block of W. Big Bear Blvd. to serve a warrant that was issued for the arrest of the suspect. Passmore was at the residence and fled through a bathroom window when deputies arrived. Following a short foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
James Passmore was booked into the Big Bear Jail on felony charges of unlawful sexual contact with a minor as well as outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants. Passmore remains in custody in lieu of $225,000. bail. An arraignment hearing has been set for today at the San Bernardino County Superior Court.
