Big Bear Valley, CA — Though Snow Conditions are, as of Thursday afternoon, no longer in effect (meaning parking on city streets is once again allowed), we can expect more winter weather in coming days. The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Southern California, and this applies to the San Bernardino mountains, as well as Lucerne and Apple Valley areas. Dense fog can be expected for those traveling on mountain highways this morning (Friday), so drivers are advised to allow extra distance between vehicles, reduce speed and be prepared for sudden changes in visibility. Update: The National Weather Service has upgraded the Hazardous Weather Outlook to a Winter Weather Advisory, indicating periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain; this advisory is in effect as of Friday evening and extends into Saturday.
