Big Bear, CA, October 7, 2014 – Yesterday, Caltrans started the clearing and clean-up work that they will be doing on Arctic Circle this month, beginning the weekly closures of SR-18 between the Big Bear Dam and Snow Valley.
There has been a slight change in the schedule however. The 18 will now be closed 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (rather than 2:00 p.m.), but will remain Monday through Thursday ONLY, with no Friday closures.
Keep in mind the on-going paving/guardrail project on SR-38 if using that as an alternate.
