Big Bear Lake, CA, May 9, 2014 – This week, the U.S. Alpine Ski Team announced their nominations for the 2015 roster. There are some very familiar names among the 38 athletes, like Olympians Bode Miller and Lindsey Vonn. And joining them is 17-year-old Stephanie Lebby of Big Bear Lake. She trained and began racing for the Snow Summit Race Team then the Squaw Valley Ski Team. She and only one other teenager were selected for the Women’s Development Team. This makes Stephanie the youngest member of the US National Team.
Lebby will participate in the 2015 NorAms and Europa Cup with her sights set on competing on the World Cup circuit. The team will be formally named in a ceremony at the fall Nature Valley First Tracks at Copper Mountain, Colorado – home of the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center.
