Big Bear, Ca, March 20, 2011, 3:00pm – Next weekend, CATS, the Community Arts Theater Society of Big Bear will present a special three-day show. With elements of vaudeville, jazz, classical music, and comedic impersonations, “A Musical-Comedy Life” is entertainer Robin Field’s original 2-act concert highlighting his 60-year career in show business and presenting many of Big Bear’s most talented singers, actors, and dancers. Mr. Field retired to Big Bear following his theatrical career in New York. He recently displayed his talent in the CATS production of “The Music Man” and as Scrooge in their original adaptation of “A Christmas Carol”. “A Musical-Comedy Life” will allow Fields to share his experience as a pianist, singer, actor, and mime for the Big Bear audiences. “My life is definitely like a musical comedy” says Field. “It’s loaded with all the clichés [and] It’s all true.” With only three performances, “A Musical-Comedy Life” will be at the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center on Friday and Saturday, March 25 and 26 at 7:30 pm, and March 27 at 1:30 pm. Tickets are available at bigbeartheater.org or by calling 909-866-4970.
