Big Bear Lake, CA, August 13, 2013 — A 20-year-old man drowned in Big Bear Lake on Sunday, between the East Boat Ramp and Stanfield Cutoff. Witnesses say Jusdeep Sethi of Granada Hills had been swimming alone for several minutes before he disappeared under water. At about 5:20 PM he was discovered unresponsive. A bystander pulled the victim from the water and administered CPR until Big Bear Fire personnel arrived and continued CPR for approximately 30 minutes.
Paramedics then transported Sethi to Bear Valley Community Hospital, where was pronounced deceased by hospital staff at 6:05 p.m.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.
