Big Bear, Ca, December 23, 2010, 12:00pm – Highway 18 the front grade has reopened, however the 330 that connects Big Bear with the freeways off the mountain is still closed. Travelers can take Highway 18 the entire way up or down the mountain through Lake Arrowhead. While part of the front grade has opened, there will be delays as flagging will be taking place at various points on Highway 18. No trucks or buses will be allowed on Highway 18 the front grade, or Highway 18 through Lucerne Valley. Trucks and buses can access Big Bear via Highway 38 only. All travelers are still advised to travel on Highway 38 at this time, as Highway 18, the front grade will have delays.
