Big Bear Lake, CA, December 30, 2012 – America’s fastest marathoner began running while at Big Bear High School and went on to place tenth at the 2008 Olympics. Now after years of exploring different training strategies, 30-year-old Ryan Hall has chosen a new mentor in Italian coach Renato Canova. Canova is one of the most successful coaches in the world, with his athletes winning many medals in top international competitions (a recent example is Kenyan Moses Mosop who set world records last year). Aside from his reputation for winning, it was Canova’s faith-based approach to coaching that drew Ryan Hall, who shares strong Christian beliefs with his wife, runner Sara Hall. The couple has used their athletic achievements to help others through The Hall Steps Foundation.
