Big Bear, Ca, July 29, 2011, 12:00pm – If you missed the Old Miners’ Big Bear Heritage Parade last weekend, you still have a chance to see one of Big Bear’s finest parades, the Doo Dah Parade in Fawnskin. The Doo Dah Parade will take place Saturday Morning starting at 10:00am. The parade that is famous for its wacky, zany antics, will start on Cherokee and will go one block through the downtown area of Fawnskin. Participating organizations include the Chambermaids, Miss Big Bear, the Lighthouse Project, Friends of Fawnskin, the Big Bear City, Baldwin Lake, and Fawnskin Fire Departments, the Lions Club and many more. In addition to the parade, this year there will be a Donkey Derby, with donkey races, vendors and more. Fawnskin is located on the Northshore of Big Bear Lake, off of Northshore Drive. The event is free to attend, and sure to be a laugh.
