Big Bear, CA, October 18, 2016 – DOVES’ annual gala, Starry Starry Night is taking place, Saturday, October 22 at Community Church Big Bear, starting at 5pm. Fundraising efforts this year are benefiting the Transitional Housing Program. DOVES currently has a shelter which serves as immediate housing for women and children who are fleeing a domestic violence situation. However, transitional housing is for women who want to stay in the community, get jobs, and begin their new lives. This fundraiser will help DOVES purchase a building with several units to accommodate women wishing to start fresh. Tickets for Starry Starry Night are $60 per person and tables cost $450 (for a table of eight).
There will be dinner, dancing, entertainment, as well as a live and silent auction. Included in the auction will be wonderful baskets filled with everything from bath products to cupcakes to fine wine. There will also be several wonderful trips available including La Jolla, San Francisco, and Greece, among others.
