Big Bear, Ca, August 19, 2011, 12:00pm – Cowboys and Cowgirls invade Big Bear this weekend, with the Cowboy Gathering taking place at the Performing Arts Center. The Gathering always features musicians, authors, storytellers and poets, who sing and speak about cowboy lore, tradition, and cowboy values. Tonight attendees can enjoy the musical stylings of Belinda Gail, Dianne Tribitt, Soughdough Slim, and Richard Elloyan at 7:00 at the PAC. On Saturday, there will be ongoing performances by the Pioneer Town Posse, with vendor booths open from 11:00 to 6:30pm. Back again this year on Saturday, is the Dirty Underwear Fashion Show- showcasing vintage underwear styles from the past. On Sunday, attendees can go to Cowboy Church, have breakfast under the trees, and watch Big Bear’s own horse whisperer, Paul Ortuno, in action.
