
Big Bear Lake, CA, August 4, 2010, 11:38am – This morning just before 11:00am, a bank robbery took place at Citibank next to Summit Plaza on Big Bear Blvd in Big Bear Lake. The suspect, Tommy Dwyer, was caught minutes later on Thrush Drive near Snow Summit as he was escaping towards the forest on a bicycle. Witnesses identified the suspect as he was leaving the bank and called the Big Bear Sheriff’s Department with his description. The suspect, Tommy Dwyer, handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of 100 dollar bills and 50 dollar bills. Currently, activity near the bank is causing a disturbance in that area according to Big Bear Sheriff’s Department personnel. The story is continuing to develop.
