Big Bear Lake, CA, November 11, 2013 – Book lovers will want to mark their calendars for November 16th. The Big Bear Lake Branch Library (41930 Garstin Drive) is holding their annual auction of rare and collectible books.
Close to one hundred books will be auctioned off, including many collectors’ items and some first editions, art and history titles, classics, literature, and children’s books. The silent auction items will be on display starting at 6:00 p.m. At 6:30, the live auction begins with returning auctioneer Dan Heiman, assisted by Friends board member Merle Bobzien. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the evening.
The Library Auction is one of the main fundraising events for the Friends of the Library, and profits help buy new books, audio books, videos and magazine subscriptions, as well as helping support children’s programs.
