There is another bomb threat at Big Bear High School today. You may recall that on Friday, prior to Memorial Day weekend, an anonymous, undated bomb threat was found at the high school, and resulted in an early-out for students; though, after a thorough sweep by law enforcement and fire agencies, no bomb was found on campus. As of today (Tuesday, May 26) at about noon, BBHS students were evacuated as the result of a bomb threat. As of approximately 12:40pm, students were released, and bus transportation is being provided by BVUSD. No bomb has yet been found on campus, though (as of 1pm) law enforcement and fire agencies remain on site.
Update: By 2:15pm, law enforcement and fire agencies had completed a thorough sweep of the Big Bear High School campus, and determined that there was no bomb. The Big Bear Sheriff’s Station has since arranged for a $1,000 reward with WeTip for the arrest and conviction of the person/persons responsible for the false threat. To place an anonymous call, should you have any information, call WeTip at 1-800-78-CRIME.
