Big Bear, Ca, May 9, 2011, 1:00pm –Due to CalTrans recent announcement concerning the re-opening of Highway 330 ahead of schedule, the Big Bear Valley Renaissance Faire is back on. Earlier this year, the event was cancelled and the hope was that it would return next year. However organizers of the Renaissance Faire now say it will take place on August 13th, 14th, 20th and 21st from 10am to 6pm in Fawnskin and will be celebrating their 10thanniversary. Linda McGinnis, Director for the Big Bear Valley Renaissance Faire said, “We are so excited to announce that the Knights of Mayhem, Adam Reid “the Bawdy Juggler”, the Belles of Bedlam, Victoria Goring, Gallows Humor and many more have already signed on for entertainment!” McGinnis also said there will be “surprises galore,” and that there will be “new vendors mixed in with your favorites from past years, and new games and guilds to add to your days enjoyment.” The Renaissance Faire is a production of the Big Bear Valley Renaissance Society, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 non- profit for education. All proceeds go to children and teachers for scholarships and educational endeavors.
