Big Bear City, CA, August 20, 2013 — This Saturday, the Big Bear City Airport presents Big Bear Air Fair 2013 with the theme, “Celebrating 110 Years of Flight.” Admission is just $2, and the event will last from 9:00 AM. to 4:00 PM.
The event organizers promise vintage Warbirds, a P-47 Thunderbolt, a F3F Wildcat, a F6F Hellcat, a F8F Bearcat, an Mk XIV Spitfire and Zero.There will also be television and movie star planes: The B-25, “Executive Suite”, was seen in the movie Catch-22 and other aviation and entertainment media. The PT-17 seen in the TV show JAG will be here as well the PT-17 from the movie “Pearl Harbor.”
In addition, there’ll be a display of classic cars, a variety of food booths and vendors with aviation regalia, representatives from community organizations, plus face painting and a balloon artist for the kids. People of all ages can take a turn in a full motion simulator, and take a ride in a plane or a helicopter.
