Big Bear City, CA, February 6, 2014 – If you’ve been wanting to add a pet to your family, now’s a good time to do it. San Bernardino County Animal Care and Control is hosting the Furever Yours Pet Adoption Event from February 8th to the 14th at the Big Bear Animal Shelter, which currently has dogs and cats waiting for a good home.
As of today, a white-and-yellow cat is looking for a home; available canines include a black and tan Dachshund/Terrier mix, a black and tan Chihuahua, and a brown boxer.
The low-cost pet adoptions will start this Saturday at $25 for dogs and $17 for cats, with a limit of two adoptions per family.
The “Animals aRe First Fund,” a local non-profit organization that helps stray animals in San Bernardino County, will pay the spay or neuter fees.
The Big Bear Animal Shelter is located at 42080 North Shore Drive, at the north end of Stanfield Cutoff. Open every day except Sunday, their hours are 10 to 1 and 2 to 5 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday’s hours are noon to 2 and 3 to 7.
