Angelus Oaks, CA, November 26, 2013 – A 33-year-old Big Bear City resident lost his life Monday after losing control on a winding mountain highway.
Shortly before 2:00 p.m. on November 25, CHP officers responded to a call of a vehicle over the side on State Route 38 just east of Angelus Oaks. According to the collision report, Kevin Anthony Genders was negotiating a left curve when he allowed his vehicle to veer approximately 50 feet off the right side of the roadway into a drainage culvert His vehicle came to rest on its wheels near Cold Creek. Genders was pronounced dead at the scene; the cause of the collision and cause of death remain under investigation.
