Big Bear City, CA, May 5, 2013 – For once, a caravan of fire trucks with lights and sirens will mean good news.
“Firefighters Quest for Burn Survivors” is a nonprofit organization formed after the 1996 Malibu Fires critically injured several firefighters. The charity hosts several fundraisers throughout the year, and contributions support local burn centers and foundations as well as survivors and their families.
During the week of May 6, the 17th Annual Quest Rally will be traveling throughout California collecting funds, stopping in Big Bear on May 6 to pick up checks from local fire fighters associations.
The public is welcome to show support for the cause by joining the caravan and rally at any stop along the route. The agenda is as follows:
10:00 – 10:15 — Helicopter Arrives at Big Bear Airport, welcomed by area fire departments.
10:15 – 11:00 — Big Bear Airport. Check Presentations by the Big Bear City and Big Bear Lake Professional Fire Fighters Associations
