
Big Bear Lake, CA, March 2, 2013 – Local sheriffs are asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted for the attempted murder of a peace officer. On Friday, March 1, 2013 at 11:19 a.m. a deputy from the Yucaipa station responded to a report of an unwanted person, and was met with gunfire. The suspect also rammed the patrol car with his own vehicle before fleeing.
The suspect has been identified as 52-year-old Brian David Forrett of Riverside. He was driving a White Buick with the CA license plate number 6SHF401. The car has significant collision damage to the rear end and a shattered windshield. Forrett is considered armed and dangerous and anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should immediately call 911.
The deputy was not injured in the attack; it is unknown if Forrett sustained any injuries.
