Big Bear Lake, CA, July 4, 2012, 8:00am – The 4th of July Celebration in Big Bear Valley has become a big tradition over the years. The Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake has been presenting the fireworks display for decades, and each year the show gets bigger and better. The fireworks will go off tonight (Wednesday, July 4) over Big Bear Lake when it gets dark outside. Viewers can listen to K-BEAR and hear synchronized patriotic music during the show. The fireworks are launched from a barge in the middle of Big Bear Lake, prepared and manned by local Rotarians and a crew from Pyro Spectaculars. The show can be seen from vantage points around the valley. Additional fireworks are shot off from a smaller barge on the lakefront near the Marina Resort for the enjoyment of those participating in the annual Rotary Fireworks and Dinner at the Marina Resort. Those interested in attending the Rotary event can purchase tickets at Sotheby’s, Marina Resort, Shelli’s Hallmark, Bear City Glass, and First Mountain Bank in the Interlaken Shopping Center. Wherever you go to watch the fireworks, enjoy the show, and remember there are absolutely no personal fireworks allowed in the San Bernardino Mountains.
