Cowboy Gathering: Tribute to Curly Musgrave

Big Bear Lake, Ca, August 17, 2010, 3:00pm The 11th annual Cowboy Gathering is this weekend, and is filled with cowboy poetry, music, performances and more.  The Gathering will begin with a dinner at the Double K Ranch on Thursday August 19th, with entertainment by Nancy Lee, Gary Allegretto, and a special appearance by the Pioneertown Posse.  The dinner is $50 per person.  Friday, will feature a VIP Luncheon at the Cowboy Express Steakhouse, entertainment at the Performing arts Center, a welcome party, and a tribute to Curly Musgrave.  Outdoor entertainment and indoor performances construct Saturdays events, with a Dirty Underwear Fashion Show, featuring vintage underwear at 12:30 at the PAC.  Sunday ends the Gathering with a Cowboy Breakfast at 7:30am, followed by Cowboy Church at 9:00am.  A screening of the movie Broken Trail will take place at 10:30am.  For more information about the Cowboy Gathering go to Bigbearcowboygathering.net.

Angela Meyers moved to Big Bear in August of 2009, after spending a summer in Washington DC. Angela’s parents Roy and Susan Meyers met at Big Bear High School in 1967, and her Grandfather Rob Jacobson worked at the Big Bear Lake Post Office for 28 years. Angela graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a degree in Public Relations. While at CSUF she was the Director of Public Relations for the Associated Students for two years.
