The Labor Day holiday in the Big Bear Valley brings with it weekend yard sales and, for those within the City of Big Bear Lake, a no-fee permit is first required before you schlep your used treasures to the yard. No-fee yard sale permit applications are available at the public counter of the Civic Center, located at Big Bear Lake’s west end at 39707 Big Bear Boulevard; free permit applications can also be downloaded at CityBigBearLake.com, and faxed to 866-7511. If posting yard sale signs, the City reminds not to place them on power poles, street sign or traffic signal poles, or any object in the public right-of-way. Also, please do not post signage on trees, as doing so could cause potential damage.
