Big Bear, Ca, September 1, 2011, 12:00pm – Labor Day Weekend, like its early summer three-day weekend counterpart Memorial Day is known for Yard Sales in the Big Bear Valley. While Memorial Day weekend boasts more yard sales, Labor Day weekend still has many good deals to offer. Residents of the City of Big Bear Lake looking to hold a yard sale this weekend need to get a permit. Permit applications are available at the public counter in the Civic Center, located at 39707 Big Bear Blvd., Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m, and are FREE. If you don’t have time to go into the civic center, you can call them at (909) 866-5831 and they will log your address. The City also asks that you do not post yard sale signs on power poles, street sign poles, traffic signal poles, trees or any object in the public right-of-way.
