Big Bear, CA, October 5, 2016 – During the week of October 9-15, keepers at the Big Bear Alpine Zoo will emphasize the importance of wolves to their ecosystem with daily dedicated keeper talks. On Saturday, October 15, 2016, they will place specific attention on the roles that wolves play in maintaining this delicate balance through talks and enrichment presentations.
At the Big Bear Alpine Zoo, they seek to educate the public about the roles that all animals play in perpetuating a healthy environment, emphasizing the greater role that humans play in protecting both species and habitat. Like a large mosaic, a healthy environment is comprised of many integral sections. In parts of the United States, wolves play a vital role in maintaining the delicate balance of their habitat.
