Big Bear, Ca, November 6, 2011, 8:00am- Team Jordan is one week closer to their departure for Antarctica. The team will be heading to climb Mount Vincent Massif in Antarctica, and once the summit is reached, they will have completed the seven summits, the seven highest peaks on each of the seven continents. The team, comprised of Jordan and Paul Romero and Karen Lundgren, will also become the first family to complete the seven summits together, and Jordan will become the youngest person ever to complete the seven summits. In preparation for their journey, the team will be celebrating ski and snowboard season by hosting this year’s Warren Miller film “Like There’s No Tomorrow.” Warren Miller films for the last 62 years act as the big kick off to ski and snowboard season, and for the last three years Team Jordan has hosted the films in Big Bear. The screening will also be a big send off for Team Jordan, before they depart for Antarctica. Everyone is invited to attend the screening and send off, and attendees will have the chance to win some amazing prizes. The screening will start at 6:30pm, with doors opening to the Performing Arts Center at 6:00pm. Tickets are available at the door, or prior to the event at Goldsmiths Boardhouse, the Big Bear Book and Bean, Mountain Fitness Center, and Bear Valley Bikes.
