Village Improvement Projects Going Into Design Stage

Big Bear, Ca, June 29, 2011, 12:00pm – The City of Big Bear Lake Improvement Agency approved a contract at the June 27^th City Council Meeting with RRM Design group for engineering and construction documents for seven improvement projects in the village.  The seven projects include:  The Village Drive, Bartlett Road, and Pine Knot streetscape projects, the lake events plaza project, which would create an amphitheater for events in the Village area, the Knickerbocker drainage project, the lakeside boardwalk project, and a comprehensive sign program project to improve vehicle and pedestrian traffic.  The improvement agency agreed to spend $899,000 for these documents.  The City is aggressive in their plan to improve the village, and projects are expected to begin as soon as possible.
