Big Bear, Ca, October 18, 2011, 3:00pm – The San Bernardino County Sheriffs Department, Twin Peaks Station is asking the public for assistance is finding two male suspects who assaulted a 24 year old male resident of Blue Jay this past Sunday. At approximately 10:40 p.m., Deputies from the Twin Peaks Station responded to a report of a road rage incident where the occupants of two vehicles stopped in the middle of up bound Highway 18 near Old Waterman Canyon Road and began fighting. Upon arrival, deputies were informed that two male suspects in their 30’s had gotten out of a large 4×4 truck and confronted the victim who had gotten out of his vehicle, which was being driven by his 22 year old wife. During the altercation, the victim was hit with a rock, causing a laceration to the head, and at one point during the fight, the victim wielded a hockey stick at the two suspects, and the wife pepper sprayed one of the two assailants. After the altercation the two unknown suspects turned around and drove southbound on Highway 18 towards San Bernardino, which is the direction from which they came. The victim was transported by ambulance to Loma Linda Hospital, and deputies did not locate the suspect vehicle. The vehicle is described as a lifted 4×4 pick up truck, light metallic in color with large over sized tires. The suspects are described as white male adults in their 30’s, one had a goatee, and both were described as having tattoos on their arms.
