The Big Bear Valley Recreation and Park District is scheduled to get a seventh appointee to their Advisory Commission, pending approval by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors in their 10am meeting today, November 17. Third District County Supervisor Neil Derry has tapped Sugarloaf resident Bob Ybarra to fill the seat formerly held by Don Allen, who represented the Moonridge area; earlier this year, Supervisor Derry appointed Ybarra to the CSA 70 R5 Commission, which oversees roads in Sugarloaf. If approved for the Advisory Commission, on a term that extends through January 2012, Ybarra will be on the dais for this evening’s monthly Big Bear Valley Recreation and Park District meeting, which begins at 5pm at the Big Bear Senior Center. The district’s Paradise Park sub-committee meets with the park sub-committee of the Big Bear City Community Services District at 4pm today, and also at the Big Bear Senior Center.
Update: County Supervisors approved Ybarra’s appointment to the BBVRPD Advisory Commission this morning.
