Big Bear Lake, CA, April 21, 2016 – On Wednesday, April 20, at approximately 3:00 p.m., deputies from the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station Multi Enforcement Team served a search warrant at the residence of Scott Payne in Big Bear Lake. During the search, deputies recovered stolen property, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and other evidence consistent with the sale of narcotics.
Scott Payne was taken into custody without incident. Payne was booked on felony charges of sale of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property, and committing a secondary felony offense after being released on his own recognizance from a previous arrest. Payne remains in custody in leiu of $100,000 bail. An arraignment hearing in this matter is set for April 22, 2016 at the San Bernardino Superior Court.
