Big Bear, Ca, November 25, 2011, 1:00pm – With days like Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, super sales are abundant with big box businesses. American Express now for the second year is promoting a different day, they are calling it Small Business Saturday, and they are promoting shopping locally, and shopping at Mom and Pop businesses. The local Big Bear Chamber of Commerce is supporting Small Business Saturday, and is encouraging locals and visitors to do some shopping this Saturday, at local Big Bear Retailers! According to the Chamber of Commerce for every $100 spent in Big Bear, $68 stays in the community, and that buying locally ensures more tax dollars are reinvested into our infrastructure. The Small Business Saturday Program encourages consumers to pledge to shop small on Saturday, by picking your favorite local business and doing some holiday shopping there. Small businesses are the lifeblood of the community, and provide unique places for people to shop. Help support our small businesses, and shop small this Saturday.
