Fawnskin, CA — The Big Bear Sheriff’s Station arrested three individuals in their 20s yesterday, prompted by a warrant service in Fawnskin. Per the press release issued this morning: “Shortly before 5pm yesterday [March 10], a search warrant was served by the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station at a residence in the 42000 block of North Shore Drive in Fawnskin after deputies obtained information of ongoing drug use and sales from the location. During the warrant service, a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, items used in the sales and packaging of illegal drugs, and over $700 in cash was recovered. In addition, a loaded shotgun was also recovered. Suspect Jessica Baca [age 24] resides at the residence. Suspects Kelley Perez [age 22] and Kenneth Burhop [age 25] were also found to be living in the residence. Burhop is a prior convicted felon who is currently on parole.
Suspects Baca, Perez and Burhop were also all suspected to be under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant. All three suspects were booked at the Big Bear jail. Baca was booked for possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a controlled substance for sales, and for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Burhop was booked for possession of a controlled substance for sales, suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Perez was booked for possession of a controlled substance for sales and suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
All three suspects are currently being detained at West Valley Detention Center. Arraignment hearings in this matter have been set for March 12, 2010 at the San Bernardino County Superior Court.”
