Big Bear, Ca, March 28, 2011, 5:00pm – The San Bernardino County Sheriffs Station is requesting your help in locating a suspect that was involved in a residential robbery in the Twin Peaks area on Monday, March 23. On Monday March 23rd, deputies from the Twin Peaks Station responded to a 911 call of a report that armed suspects had kicked in the front door to the victim’s residence. The victim was able to flee from his home as the suspects entered his house. When deputies arrived on scene they discovered the front door had been forced open, but they found the house vacant. The victim told detectives there had been a medical marijuana grow inside the house and the suspects had stolen several mason jars containing medical marijuana. The victim identified one of the suspects as a long-time acquaintance named Ryley Brown. Detectives interviewed a witness who saw the suspects flee the area in a white rental car. Detectives then contacted a car rental agency in Big Bear and located an address for the suspect Brown. Ryley Brown was taken into custody after deputies arrived at this house located in the 600 block of Merced in Big Bear Lake. A Glock Model 26 handgun, and a second handgun were recovered at the residence, however the marijuana was not found, and is believed to be in possession of the second suspect. Detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying the second suspect, a Hispanic male, believed to be from the Big Bear area and an associate of Ryley Brown. Brown was booked into the Big Bear jail on charges of residential robbery with bail set at $200,000.00.
