This morning at 10:17am, a fire was reported burning at 41025 Big Bear Boulevard, the location of Fuji restaurant. The boulevard was blocked with for a short time with first responders and their equipment. The nature of the fire is under investigation but initial indications are that while the restaurant was closed a fire may have originated in the kitchen and spread to areas of attic. The fire was quickly brought under control and no injuries were reported.
On the very same day, and within hours, a fire was reported at a favorite locals restaurant, La Paws, in Big Bear City. The call for help went out just prior to the lunch hour at 11:43 am. We are waiting for more information from Big Bear Fire Department officials regarding the cause of this fire. It is not believed that the cause of these two fires are related
