Big Bear Lake, Ca January 8, 2015 – The search for missing person Lisa Cimbaluk of Irvine continues today in the Woodland Trailhead near Big Bear which was first reported on January 5th. Search and rescue personnel from Kern County, Orange County, and Los Angeles County continue to assist in the search. A total of 53 search and rescue members are diligently searching the area where Cimbaluk’s car was found and have also expanded the search area. Sheriff’s aviation continues to assist with aerial searches. Searchers have located several articles within the search area, including clothing, glass and plastic beverage bottles, and other trash. The areas within the search parameters are heavily traveled by visitors and residents and it is not uncommon to find discarded items in these public spaces. Investigators are in the process of trying to determine if any of the articles found are that of the missing person. Searchers are exploring all possibilities including the shoreline and forested areas surrounding the vicinity where Cimbaluk’s vehicle was located. Lisa Cimbaluk was reported missing from Irvine on 12-29-2014 by her parents.
