Big Bear Lake, CA, June 2, 2011, noon – The Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake will host its annual fundraising golf tournament and BBQ on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Bear Mountain Golf Course. By participating in the event you can help the Rotary Club raise money for its valley-wide charities. The tournament will feature an 8:00am shotgun start and will include 18 holes. Both single players and teams are invited to sign up. Awards will be presented for Low Net and Low Gross Team Scores, Closest to the Pin, and Long Drive. The cost is $80 per player and includes 18 holes, a cart, and a BBQ lunch at the end of the tournament. At the luncheon there will be a host of drawings and raffles for donated prizes. The Rotary Golf tournament is an annual event which raises money for the club’s many Big Bear valley projects and scholarships. The local Rotary Club sponsors the valley’s fireworks extravaganza, Santa Visits Program, Bob Davies Dental Screening Project, $10,000 in scholarships for graduating senior high school students, and many other activities which benefit the residents of the Big Bear valley. The golf tournament is one of the principal fundraisers for the club and every year it attracts dozens of Rotarians and others in the community who like to play golf.
