Big Bear, CA, July 24, 2014 – The State Route 38 pavement rehabilitation project between Forest Falls and Greenway Drive that has been going on since May, has finally made it to Big Bear.
Yesterday, Caltrans and All American Asphalt began working their way downhill from Hatchery Road to State Lane. Crews are working in one to one and a half mile segments and today are working between State Lane and Square Turn. On Friday they’ll be paving the section between Square Turn and Greenway. Work hours are from 8 am to 5 pm and there will be one way traffic during those times and you may not cross the freshly rolled asphalt during the ‘rest period’ which lasts for 90 minutes.
On Monday July 28, they turn around and start working their way back in the other direction starting at Greenway. This work will cause delays if you are driving in the east valley. Please plan accordingly and adjust your schedule or route. For more information visit the Caltrans District 8 website.
