Big Bear Lake, CA, January 22, 2015 – The Big Bear Sheriff’s Station will be unveiling a Prescription Drug Take Back Drop Box today. It will be installed in the County office that formerly housed the Big Bear Division of the San Bernardino County Court. The Drop Box was purchased by the Breakthrough Task Force with private funds donated by members of the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce and local businesses.
The Drop Box will allow Big Bear Valley residents to properly dispose of unwanted prescription drugs any time during normal business hours, thereby preventing potential abuse and theft of prescribed medications. Once it has been installed, the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station will continuously monitor the Drop Box and ensure the proper disposal of all medications.
