Big Bear Lake, Ca April 8, 2011 3:00 pm – A widespread power outage in the Upper Moonridge area of Big Bear Lake today resulted from a small truck hitting a utility pole. The accident occurred at Moonridge and Sheephorn Roads at approximately 12:30 pm. Bear Valley Electric Service was able to isolate the problem and restore power to most customers by 1:30 pm. It is expected that within the area of Silvertip and Sunset Drives the power may remain out up until 10:00 pm this evening.
