Big Bear Lake, CA, October 3, 2011, 8:00am – The public is invited to a Community Meeting hosted by the Big Bear Lake Improvement Agency to discuss plans and details for the Village Streetscape and Trail projects that are scheduled for construction next Spring. Residents will be able to review the new street and public streetscape reconstruction projects going forward for Village Drive and Pine Knot Avenue. The two projects will present a fresh new updated look and feel for The Village while also setting the stage for further public and private investment. In addition to the Village and Pine Knot projects, an exciting new pedestrian and bicycle trail will be constructed during the same time frame along the western side of Knickerbocker Channel from Village Drive and Pennsylvania Avenue to the lakefront. This multi-use hard surface side-by-side and decompressed granite trail will culminate at a lookout viewing deck at the shoreline with access to Veterans Park. The meeting will be held in Hofert Hall at the Civic Center on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 6pm. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
