Big Bear, Ca, October 21, 2010, 5:00pm – Share the warmth this winter by donating new or gently used coats to help local families. The 13th Annual Winter Coat Drive sponsored by the Southwest Gas employee volunteer team, BLUE- Building Lives Up Everywhere, is underway now through Monday, October 25th. The donated coats will be distributed to the community on Wednesday, October 27th, in the Southwest Gas business office, 40844 Big Bear Blvd, 9:00 am-5:00 pm. “It’s rewarding for us to know that every year the Big Bear community responds so graciously to the coat drive to keep our neighbors a little warmer during the winter,” said Brad Huff, customer specialist for Southwest Gas and coordinator of this year’s event. “Our employees are also excited to take part in this annual event,” he added. Donations of new and clean gently-used coats for men, women and children can be made at the following locations throughout the Big Bear area during regular business hours: Bear Valley Electric Service, the City of Big Bear Lake, Stater Brothers, Alaska Credit Union, and Southwest Gas.
